I have a Broadcom NetXtreme 57xx Gigabit Controller but does not work in Windows 10 i use the latest driver version 17.0.0.3 from Broadcom i.
I tried to Update my HP ProLiant MicroServer from windows pro 7 to windows 10. Following the update there was no internet connection through the Network Adapter. The message was A network cable is not properly plugged in or may be broken. There was however no problem with the cable and it was plugged in. Reverted to Windows 7 and all worked fine again The network adapter is a Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet. Section Name BCM5764MXLHinst.NTx86.6.1 Hardware ID pci ven14e4&dev165b So you have a patch to fix this problem.
Hi W.Findlay, Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. It could be due to missing updates or software changes or corrupt drivers.
What is the model of the HP ProLiant MicroServer? When I searched for it in HP website, I found 4 models. I suggest you to run the Network Adapter and Internet Connections troubleshooter. It will try to identify and fix the network connectivity issues. Type troubleshooting in the search bar and open it.
Click on 'view all' on the left pane. Run the 'Network Adapter ' troubleshooter and follow the on-screen instructions. Then try to run the ' Internet Connections' troubleshooter and follow the on-screen instructions. Also, try the steps provided in the links below. Fix network connection issues: To update drivers, refer the link below.
Why can't I get online?: Hope this helps in resolving the issue. If the issue persists, do get back to us.

Good evening, I'm having trouble with the Internet and Windows 10. I had a upgrade today from Windows 7 to Windows 10, after three hours of waiting it was finally done but there was the one and only problem: it could not detect my internet. So I grabbed my old laptop, did some research and downloaded a few new drivers, put them on my usb stick and copied them to my PC, did what I had to do (I really don't know how to explain it in English haha, im so sorry!) and every time it will say that I already have the latest, newest upgrade from the driver.
So it is not compatible with Windows 10 and I wondered, is there any other way that I can install a driver that works for Windows 10? Im really sorry if its not understandable, Im having trouble with writing in English and I'm not really smart with computers too. It works but update keeps installing the newer driver back on it. Even with driver updates turned off!!! I have a Dell GX620 with integrated ethernet. I had no option to 'rollback' the driver as others have suggested. The driver recommended by Dell Support did not work with Win10 nor did the latest driver provided on broadcom.com.
The solution that worked for me is listed below. The following info is the steps I used to install a working network driver; 1) open Device Manager 2) right-click Broadcom NetXtreme 57xx Gigabit Controller 3) select 'Update Driver Software' 4) select 'Browse my computer for driver software' 5) select 'Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer' 6) From this list begin the process of elimination until you find a driver that works. I started with the most recent driver and proceeded backwards. Problem solved. So far I've had no problems and Windows update has not changed the driver. For the purpose of this specific issue, I intentionally run Windows update on a daily basis and so far there has been no changes to the driver for this component.
Update has found and installed drivers for other components so I think it's safe to assume that update is functioning properly. The driver file I'm using is b57nd60x.sys (see attached pic). It was in the list when I chose the option 'Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer' as previously described.
A web search will provide you with download links AND will show many reports of an error associated with this driver. I have had no such errors, nor has Windows update changed the driver as others have stated. Smooth sailing on my end. Hope this helps. NOTE: I did the free upgrade to Win 10 from Win 7 Home Premium 32-bit.
